John Carroll took on yet another quality opponent on the road Friday evening at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

But unlike brushes against Centre and DePauw, this one did not have an unhappy ending.

Facing the #9 ranked Saints of Thomas More College, John Carroll pulled of a stunner by shaking off an early goal to forge a 1-1 tie.

The host school was undefeated and untied at the start of play Friday, and struck first in the 17th minute.Julia Flagge-Echols served a ball to the back post that Erika LaRosa finished off with a header.

John Carroll continued to weather the storm, and finally got the equalizer. Early in the second half, JCU scored when Dre Regrut cashed in from 25 yards out.

Rhianna Guarnera was magnificent in goalk, as she made 12 saves to preserve the deadlock, including six after Regrut's goal.

The Saints had a tremendous edge in shots (31-3), but in the end, the only one's that mattered were authored by TMC's laRosa and JCU's Regrut.

John Carroll is now 1-2-1 on the year, while Thomas More is 3-0-1.
