There can be letdowns after an extended period of sunshine and swimming in Florida, but John Carroll had no intention of letting down Saturday at Oberlin.
From the opening race, the Blue Streaks were on their game in rolling to a 170-129 victory over thr Yeowomen.

In the 200 Medley Relay, the Blue Streaks issued a powerful opening statement. The "A" team of
Margaret Zagrobelny,
Carly Adams,
Anne Crowley and
Amanda Casamatta won in a time of 1:54.30, while the "B" quartet of
Emma Connell,
Chloe Ruggiero,
Megan Hawk, and
Emily Yoos finished second in 1:57.35, edging Oberlin's "A" relay by .04 of a second.
Oberlin closed the gap to 28-27 with wins in the 1000 Free and 200 Free, but Adams stopped the home team's momentum with a win in the 100 Back (1:01.70).
The momentum was seized for JCU with a sweep in the 100 Breast as
Jessica Morrow (1:12.13), Ruggiero (1:12.20) and
Teresa Prinster (1:14.88) went 1-2-3 to push the Blue Streaks lead to 57-36. John Carroll was never threatened again.
Later in the meet, the same trio would sweep the 200 Breast, with Ruggiero claiming first (2:35.33), Morrow second (2:35.97) and Prinster third (2:40.10).
Adams picked up two more wins to go along with her 100 Back triumph. She claimed first place in the 200 Back (2:15.18) and 200 IM (2:15.62).
Casamatta had the other individual victory as she won the 50 Free (25.50).
The Blue Streaks closed the meet with a victory as well. Yoos,
Anne Crowley,
Shelbi Shearer, and Casamatta claimed the final winners' ribbons of the day with a thrilling finish in the 400 Free Relay. The quartet edged the Oberlin "A" Relay by .27 of a second.
