A strong Blue Streak defense prevented the Bulldogs from scoring within the first 18 minutes of the half.
After Adrian got on the board, the Blue Streaks turned up the volume and scored six more times in the final ten minutes. Heading into the second half, JCU had a 12-1 lead.
JCU scored twice in the opening two minutes of the second half to push the advantage to 14-1. From that point on, the Blue Streaks cruised to the victory.
McQuinn was spectacular on defense, setting single game program records for ground balls (9) and caused turnovers (8). The team also set a single game record with 20 caused turnovers.
The Blue Streaks will take their 1-0 record to Ohio Wesleyan for a Wednesday afternoon match up before returning home on March 4 to face Wittenberg.
