They play four periods of lacrosse for a reason. After trailing by four goals at halftime, John Carroll University mounted an impressive come back to defeat Ohio Athletic Conference opponent, Baldwin Wallace University, 10-8.

The Blue Streaks erased the four goal deficit by scoring six straight unanswered goals between the third and fourth quarters.
Declan O'Grady led the team with three goals while
Michael Hubert added two of his own.

It was a forgettable first half for John Carroll. The Blue Streaks were outscored 6-4 in the first half of play, including being shut out in the first quarter.

RP Whitty managed a goal to open the second quarter, which helped to cut the Baldwin Wallace lead in half before two unanswered goals from the host extended their lead.
Colin Corcoran managed the only other goal in the first half, splitting two sets of back-to-back goals from the hosting Yellow Jackets.

The Blue Streaks roared back into the game by scoring four unanswered goals and holding the Yellow Jackets scoreless in the third quarter. In the second half alone, the Blue Streaks outscored the Yellow Jackets, 8-2.

Declan O'Grady started the scoring spree at the 13:56 mark of the third quarter.
MacGregor Roberts and
Skyler Blake then combined for a man up goal with just 7:02 to play in the third quarter. O'Grady would then add his second goal of the game and the quarter while on the man advantage to bring the Blue Streaks within one goal.

Michael Hubert would even the game with a scoring tally with just 28 seconds to play in the third quarter, eliminating the lead held by the Yellow Jackets since the 13:18 mark of the first quarter. After trailing by as much as four in the game, the Blue Streaks and Baldwin Wallace carried a 6-6 tied score into the final frame of regulation.

The scoring bonanza kept rolling into the fourth quarter. O'Grady started the fourth quarter with goal just 25 seconds into the fourth frame.
Connor Pike was credited with the assist that made it five consecutive goals for the Blue Streaks. Hubert then supplied another man advantage goal, pushing the Blue Streaks' lead to 8-6.

Baldwin Wallace ended the Blue Streaks' scoring streak at six unanswered with a scoring tally with 9:22 to play. Despite the good goal, an illegal stick violation against Baldwin Wallace pushed the visiting Blue Streaks onto a three minute man advantage opportunity.

John Carroll would take advantage of the extra attacker. On the day, the Blue Streaks scored six goals on the man advantage. Blake scored his 28th goal of the year to give John Carroll a 9-7 lead.
Collin Rice then chipped in another scoring mark, giving John Carroll a 10-7 lead with 7:04 to play, capping two goals for the Blue Streaks during the extended man advantage period.

Baldwin Wallace managed to score with just 33 seconds left, finalizing the score in favor of John Carroll, 10-8. The Blue Streaks move to 6-4 on the year, including a perfect 4-0 mark in the OAC. With the victory, the Blue Streaks extend their winning streak to four games.

John Carroll will now return home for a two-game home stand in the OAC when Muskingum University and Ohio Northern University make the trip to University Heights. The Muskingum meeting is set for Friday, April 14 while the senior day match up against Ohio Northern is set for Saturday, April 22. Â
