John Carroll baseball fell in a non-conference game to Case Western Reserve University, 7-3, at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio.

JCU falls to 15-18 on the year, with one doubleheader to go in the regular season against Marietta.

Monroe Donnelly was 2-for-5 at the plate. Aaron Zawadski was 1-for-2 in the game. Mike Raschilla had an RBI.

Fred Moore pitched two innings, allowing two runs. Carter Semancik (L, 0-1) took the loss after allowing two in two innings. Nathaniel Wenson, Cameron Mayle, James Molnar, and Ryan Bastien also pitched.

CWRU scored two in the bottom of the first inning, and JCU quickly answered in the next frame. Raschilla singled to left for one run, and Zawadski had a sacrifice fly to score a second.

The Spartans scored two in the fourth and three in the seventh to cap off the victory.

John Carroll scored one in the fifth as Zawadski singled to left field and a run scored on an error. In the bottom of the ninth, Monroe Donnelly drove home Jason Large to cut the score to 7-4, but that would be the only run.

JCU is scheduled to face Marietta on Senior Day at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
