Having the game delayed an hour did not stop the Blue Streaks from continuing their winning streak.
The John Carroll women's soccer team defeated the Fightin' Quakers of Wilmington College tonight in the final regular-season game by a final score of 3-0. Â Both teams entered tonight's contest with JCU having an OAC record of 3-5, and Wilmington having a 2-6 record in the conference.
A quick goal by junior
Jaclyn Audino in the fifth minute, assisted by
Brittany Dufalla, set the tone for the Blue and Gold early on. Â After establishing a 1-0 lead, freshman Daniella Delgiudice continued to capitalize on the Blue Streaks' momentum by recording six saves.
In the second half, Dufalla had a goal of her own at 54:19, effectively making the score 2-0 in favor of the Blue Streaks.
Dufalla continued to be a major threat in tonight's Ohio Athletic Conference match up. Her second assist of the night allowed for senior
Bailey Fischer to score the third and final goal of the game at 59:26. Â With the goal, Fischer is now tied for first in John Carroll history for total goals with 46 goals.
John Carroll outshot Wilmington 7-6.  Both teams also recorded four corner kicks over the course of the night.
With the win, John Carroll moves to 7-10-1 overall and 4-5 in the OAC and Wilmington falls to 8-9-0 overall and 2-7 in the OAC.
