The John Carroll men's tennis team had just finished a rough spring break trip facing Division II and NAIA teams based in Florida.
The reward was playing a nationally ranked Division III team upon returning to Ohio.
JCU fell today by an 8-1 score to host Oberlin Saturday afternoon.
In doubles play,
Gustavo Garcia and
Andrew Triner outlasted Zachary Vaughn and Matthew Gittings, 8-5.
Andy Siciliano and
David Sinense took on Oberlin's top ranked team at #1 doubles and fell by an 8-4 score.
In singles play, the Yeomen pulled off the clean sweep. Triner was the only Blue Streak to extend his match to a third set tiebreak, but lost to James Dill, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0.
JCU is now 0-7 on the year.
