2021 OAC Winter Championship Preview: Men's Basketball

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The John Carroll University Men's Basketball team will be the No. 4 seed in Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, starting its journey on Tuesday evening.

The Blue Streaks will host a quarterfinal round matchup in the OAC Tournament versus the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears on Tuesday, March 2.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.

This will be the first meeting of the season between the No. 5 Polar Bears and No. 4 Blue Streaks, with John Carroll winning one of the prior regular season matchups during the 2019-20 regular season.

John Carroll (4-3 OAC, 4-3 Overall) comes in being 2-2 at home this season, winning two in a row. Ohio Northern (3-6 OAC, 3-6 Overall) comes in having a road record of just 1-3 during this abbreviated regular season.

Jackson Sartain leads the Blue Streaks with an average of 20.4 PPG. C.J Napier leads the Polar Bears with an average of 18.7 PPG.

The winner of this contest will advance in the tournament. The lowest remaining seed plays at the highest remaining seed and the second lowest remaining seed plays at the second highest remaining seed.
