Luke Reicosky hit 100 career wins and captured the crown at the NCC Invite on Saturday.
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- Luke Reicosky's career has been filled with honors to this point. Three All-OAC nods and one All-American finish stick out in particular.

After this weekend, Luke Reicosky adds two more distinctions to his resume.

Firstly, Reicosky became just the 11th student-athlete in the illustrious history of John Carroll Wrestling to win 100 matches. And secondly, Reicosky can claim an Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week award to his name.

On Monday, the North Canton native was awarded with the honor. This past weekend, Reicosky fired off four wins to not just surpass the century mark for wins, but also to conquer the 165-pound bracket at the North Central College Invitational.

Saturday began with a pair of victories by fall for Reicosky. First, the Hoover grad pinned Max Sokolski (Augsburg) in 2:48, and then Reicosky pinned Bilal Vasty (North Central) in 4:55. In the semifinals, JCU's veteran bested Cooper Willis of Augsburg in a 3-2 decision. And with the NCC Invite title on the line, Reicosky tabbed a 3-2 decision over Cole Cervantes of host North Central. Cervantes entered the year as the #11 ranked individual wrestler in NCAA Division III per the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

For the season, Reicosky sports an 18-1 record. His lone loss is to the preseason #5 ranked wrestler at 165 pounds in semifinals of the RIT Invitational. He is JCU's first OAC Wrestler of the Week since Stefan Farian in February 2022.

Reicosky and the Blue Streaks have a break for final exams and Christmas before returning to competition in Florida for the Citrus Invitational on December 29-30.
