BEREA, Ohio -- Just a week after the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, John Carroll Men's Track returned to George Finnie Stadium.

The Blue Streaks competed in the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace. A good portion of the squad made the crosstown trip to Berea.

And many nice results were to be had on this evening, with a pair of school records falling in crazy fashion.

Ethan Domitrovich was the star of the evening. In an unbelievable showing in the 3000m Steeplechase, the sophomore shaved SIXTEEN seconds off of his time with a time of 8:59.66.

In doing so, the McDonald, Ohio native not only set a PR, but a school record. He propels himself to third in Division III, just the third runner in D-III to run a sub 9-minute time in the event. He joins Cormac Peppard-Kramer and Ian Pierson as one of three Blue Streaks in the top 10 in the country in the Steeple.

Garrett Clark thrived in the 200m. Running on a dry track helped him improve his time from last week, as the star achieved a PR and a school record in the 200m. Clark dashed to a time of 21.24. That mark places him sixth in Division III, marching him way up the leaderboard in important fashion, as it punches his ticket to Nationals.

Caleb Correia came just 0.29 seconds away from notching a PR in the 800m. Even still, his time of 1:52.82 for third was still a nice result for the Toledo native.

Mick Doyle came oh-so-close to a PR as well, nearly doing so in the 400m hurdles. The Chicagoan clocked in at 54.68, just .07 from tying his previous PR.

The JCU 4x100 relay improved ever so slightly on Friday. Mick Doyle, Garrett Clark, Mark Zahren, and Jimmy Kartsonas trimmed their time to 41.07, remaining ninth in Division III.

Michael Hvizdos achieved a nice PR in the 400m. With a time of 52.83, the freshman cut nearly two seconds off his previous best. Andrew Miner had a little fun in the event, running the event for the first time in his career, clocking in at 55.74.

Zach Szafarski (48.80m), Noah Schroeder (44.31m), and Alec Gorman (36.36m) all took part in the hammer throw. Schoeder came quite close to a PR with his toss. Matthew Russo also came close to a season-high in the shot put, achieving a mark of 14.92m. Russo notched a mark of 44.28m in the discus.

In the long jump, Willis Goodwin leaped to 6.54m. Corey Minton notched second in the triple jump, with his mark of 13.95m.

In the 4x400, JCU sent out a new combo in Victor Ononogbo, Willis Goodwin, Zach Gerber, and Michael Jones. The quartet combined for a time of 3:32.89.

In the 1500m, Pat White (3:57.23), Gabe Ernest (4:00.31), John Shoemaker (4:00.41), Dominic Delmoro (4:03.413) competed for JCU. Ernest, Shoemaker, and Delmoro all achieved PRs in the event.
