Patrick McGraw Snags OAC Wrestler of the Week After Weekend Milestones

Patrick McGraw enjoyed a heck of a weekend at Wheaton.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- John Carroll Wrestling earned fourth place at the Pete Willson Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Wheaton College in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, led by Patrick McGraw.

The team tallied five placers on the weekend, capped off by Patrick McGraw's 100th career win as a Blue Streak and first place finish in the 157 pound class.

The former Saint Ignatius Wildcat continued his reign of dominance with a 4-0 performance this past weekend. McGraw captured win number 100 in the quarterfinals, defeating Jaylen York 10-4. McGraw cruised through the semifinal 3-0 over Garret Cornell before winning 7-4 over Gabriel Smith in the championship to capture the 157-pound crown.

This is McGraw's second OAC athlete of the week nod, and first since he was selected during the week of January 24, 2022.

McGraw will look to continue his hot streak next week as John Carroll battles with Heidelberg on February 7.
