It was a busy couple days for John Carroll Men's Track & Field.

The Blue Streaks traveled to Tiffin, Ohio on Friday & Saturday for the annual Tiffin Track Carnival; to Delaware, Ohio for the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan; and to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell.

Here's how the Blue Streaks fared this weekend.

Tiffin Track Carnival (Friday)
On the sprints side, Mick Doyle logged a nice race in the 400m hurdles, coming just short of a PR with a time of 54.66, good for sixth place. He did achieve a PR in the 100m with a mark of 10.99, which earned him eighth.

Alex Phillip attacked a record in the 1500m, going after Ian Pierson's mark. The senior stopped just short of the program best with a time of 3:50.74, finishing second in the race. Ethan Domitrovich also took on the race and earned fifth in 3:52.34. Jack Root and Tommy Naiman finished back-to-back in ninth and 10th in 3:55.68 and 3:56.02.

Adam Shah continued his strong spring, picking up a PR in the 5000m with a time of 14:55.05. Sam Holt also raced, showing vast improvement of 50 seconds from a month ago, clocking in at 15:45.57, a new PR.

In the jumps, Corey Minton achieved the bronze in the triple jump, leaping to 13.81m. Jimmy Kartsonas hit 6.61m in the high jump, good for ninth.

In the throws, Noah Schroeder provided the highlight with a sixth-place toss of 52.40m in the hammer throw.

Tiffin Track Carnival (Saturday)
After a DQ in the 4x100 on Friday, JCU came back on Saturday with a vengeance. Mick Doyle, Garrett Clark, Dustin Horner, and Jimmy Kartsonas won the event with a time of 41.56.

Clark returned to the track in the 200m, racing the event for the first time during the outdoor season. He clocked in at 21.47, ranking 14th unofficially in Division III.

In Saturday's running of the 800m, Max Grillo galloped to third with a mark of 1:52.99, a new PR. Caleb Correia followed in fifth at 1:53.31, with Mike Shipman improving a couple seconds from the day before for 1:54.13 and sixth place. Michael Hvizdos also got into the top 10 at 1:55.21.

Correia, Hvizdos, Shipman, and Grillo later logged a time of 3:24.52 in the 4x400.

Bison Outdoor Classic
A pair of Blue Streaks ran late Saturday night in the 5000m at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic. Dominic Delmoro and Joe Backus each achieved PRs in a packed field. Delmoro dashed to a time of 14:47.90, while Backus fired to a time of 14:56.13.

Both were impressive efforts in an environment 4.5 hours away from home.
