Blue Streaks Finish Second Overall At Bill Sudeck Invite To Start The 2024 Season

Freshman Sam Su Finished 4th Overall For The Blue Streaks At The Bill Sudeck Invitational

Hunting Valley, Ohio - The men's cross country team headed down the road to Squire Valleevue Farm for the 2024 Bill Sudeck Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve University.

Under humid conditions, the Blue Streaks opened up their 2024 season with strong performances. The Blue Streaks fell short of a win, losing with 39 points to Case Western Reserve University (22 pts).

Senior Aidan Stone took the race out, leading for most of the 6k. He placed second with a time of 19:33. The second finisher for the Blue Streaks was Freshman Sam Su. Su posted a time of 19:47. "I'm really excited for the rest of the season. It was fun to run with a team and have guys to work with." said the rookie.

Senior Mike Hvizdos placed 10th with a time of 20:22, followed closely by Senior Jack Root. Root placed 11th and finished with a time of 20:26. Rounding out the top five was freshman Colin Adams. The Talmadge native placed 12th, posting a time of 20:28.

The Blue Streaks will compete next on September 21st at the Inaugural YSU Alumni Cross Country Meet in Canfield, OH.
