Women's Swimming & Diving Can't Keep Up with #4 Denison

The Big Red rolled by the Blue Streaks at Johnson Natatorium

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – For a second straight week, John Carroll Women's Swimming & Diving competed in the friendly waters of the Johnson Natatorium.

This time, though, the Blue Streaks ran into a buzzsaw named Denison University.

The Big Red, ranked #4 in the latest CSCAA poll, rolled past the Blue Streaks in University Heights, 198-61.

Results

Mairin Dalziel held her own in a number of events. The star Streak tabbed fourth in both the 200 Free and the 100 Free. 

Gabby Adamczyk carded fourth in the 200 Butterfly. Later on, she'd tally fourth in the 100 Fly, as well. Shirkey snagged fourth in the 50 Free. 

On the distance side of things, Ella Muzychak notched a third-place effort of 11:14.43 in the 1000 Free. She also tabbed fourth in the 500 Free later on. 

Audrey Sevald and Lauren Koppelmann repped JCU well in the 200 Backstroke, earning third and fourth place, respectively. 

In the final event of the day, Dalziel, Shirkey, Contakis, and Roberts notched a mark of 1:40.78 to rep the Streaks in the 200 Free Relay.  

Next Up
The Blue Streaks will take part in Cleveland State's Magnus Cup from November 20-22.
