Men's Soccer Trio Honored with CSC Academic All-District Selections

Three Blue Streaks secured recognition from the College Sports Communicators

At the end of the 2025 season for the John Carroll Men's Soccer team, the College Sports Communicators have honored three Blue Streaks. 

The Academic All-District program seeks to honor student-athletes who excel in their chosen sport while also succeeding in the classroom. A high athletic standard must be met as well as a maintained 3.50 GPA. 

Receiving the Academic All-District recognition are seniors Andrew Massucci, Logan Brown, and Nathan Monastra. 

After three seasons of hard work and dedication, Andrew Massucci rounds out his senior season with the Blue Streaks at the top of just about every team statistic. The forward started in all 19 games of the season, remaining on the pitch for the full 90 minutes on multiple occasions and recording the highest collective minutes played with an astounding 1,576 minutes. He scored 6 goals and 2 assists. Following this incredible season, Massucci was named to the 2025 All-NCAC First Team, the lone Blue Streak to be so honored. The Pittsburgh native is a Sports Studies major. 

Finishing out his fourth year with the team, Nathan Monastra has more than earned recognition. For two seasons in a row, the defender has started every match the Blue Streaks competed in and cracked the thousands in total minutes, ending this season with 1,125. Although typically remaining back to defend, he proves his versatility with bursts of speed down the field. The Wooster native is an Engineering Physics major. 

A dependable force in the midfield, Logan Brown has been a consistent presence across four seasons. The Avon native played in almost every single game throughout his time with the Blue Streaks, starting in all 19 of this past season. He spent an average of 79 minutes on the field in games and recorded the second-highest total minutes on the field with 1,517. After all of his diligence, Brown was named to the 2025 All-NCAC Third Team. The Avon native is a Nursing major.
