Dakota Houston Earns NCAC Sprinter Of The Week After Posting Two All-Time Division III Performances
CLEVELAND – After a successful first year campaign for the sophomore out of Beachwood, Ohio, Dakota Houston continues to strike when the opportunity arises.

This past Friday, December 5th, the women's track & field team made the trip to Youngstown State University for the YSU Icebreaker to start the indoor season.

Dakota impressed in both the 60 and 200 meter dash races, breaking the school record in those two events and placing high against all divisions by placing third and first overall.

Her time of 7.54 seconds in the 60 meter dash is now the 14th best all-time, while her time of 24.21 seconds in the 200 meter dash is now sixth all-time in Division III.

It was a successful and exciting day for Houston, earning herself a top of the all-time list, as well as earning her first ever NCAC Athlete of the Week award.

The women will return to the track on Saturday, January 17th for the first ever JCU Alumni Meet, which will take place at the Athletic Wellness & Event Center.
