The Blue Streaks' trio shined on the diamond this season

WESTERVILLE, Ohio –  Although the John Carroll Baseball team enjoyed a berth to the postseason and a successful 2025 campaign, opposing Ohio Athletic Conference coaches felt it was appropriate to only award 3 Blue Streaks to the All-OAC teams.

Even more surprising, not a single Blue Streak was named to the All-OAC first team, even though the case could be made for several of John Carroll's best players.

Ethan Glossa was named to the All-OAC Second Team, while Eric Daugenti and George Haracz each received Honorable Mention nods.

Ethan Glossa enjoyed an extremely successful first campaign in the Blue and Gold. The Herkimer Community College transfer batted .353 to lead the Blue Streaks. The outfielder led the Streaks and ranked towards the top of the OAC in RBIs (49, 1st in the OAC), stolen bases (24, 3rd in the OAC), doubles (12) and runs (37). The junior finance major put together an All-OAC First Team worthy season, but will have to settle for Second Team.

In 18 games of conference play, Glossa led all OAC hitters with 26 RBIs, double what Marietta's First Team All-OAC outfielder notched. Speaking of, both Marietta and Muskingum, who did not make the OAC Tournament, both got 3 First Teamers. Meanwhile, Oak Park, Illinois native finished second in steals with 14, only two behind the OAC Player of the Year (Tobie Teke) and more than the other three First Team outfielders combined. Glossa also notched 15 more RBI and six more extrabase hits than the OAC's First Team designated hitter.

Looking historically, Glossa finishes fifth in program history for RBIs in a single season. His 24 steals are second to only to Henry Haracz (25, 2021), Rob Cifelli (25, 2016), and Tim Nitsche (25, 1991).

After being named to the All-OAC First Team last season and putting up similar numbers despite battling injuries, Erik Daugenti achieves Honorable Mention distinction in his final season. The graduate student ranked second for the Streaks among qualified hitters with a .323 batting average and was tied for second with both 41 hits and third with 28 RBIs. In conference play, Daugenti notched 21 RBIs, third among OAC hitters. The center fielder also broke the school record this season for games played in a career and leaves a lasting legacy for the Blue Streaks.

George Haracz shined in his first year as an everyday starter for the Streaks. The Loyola Academy alum was as consistent as they come at the top of the order, batting .318 with 41 hits and 13 doubles, tops on the Streaks. In conference play, Haracz led the OAC in doubles with nine. The sophomore second baseman will prove to be a valuable building block in the infield for the Blue Streaks as they look to the future.

The Blue Streaks finished off the campaign with a solid performance in OAC Tournament, as they leave the conference for the greener pastures of the North Coast Athletic Conference.
