INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A busy few days in Indianapolis at the IU Natatorium yielded some All-American trophies for John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving.

At the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, the Blue Streaks collected three All-American honors and 19 team points en route to a 35th place team finish.

Bart Kubis earned two All-American medals (one first team and one second team) and Cameron Cook secured a second team All-American honor, representing the Blue & Gold with distinction.

The fun began in full on Thursday night. Cameron Cook secured his first career All-American honor, garnering second team honors in the 200 Yard Freestyle. The Virginian took the final spot in the B final, carding a time of 1:39.20 for 16th place.

Bart Kubis roared in the 100 Breaststroke on Friday evening. The junior tied the school record in the event, touching the wall in 54.25. The Park Ridge, Illinois native secured second team All-American honors with the time, just 0.02 seconds off the top swimmer in the consolation final.

But Kubis saved his best for last on Saturday evening. The star scored an eighth-place time in the 200 Breaststroke. Kubis clocked in at 1:59.40 in the event, carding a first team All-American effort, his first such accolade.

Without a doubt, it was a great week for Kubis, as he'll return home with nice hardware.

Jacob Florio made his NCAA Championships debut in the 100 Backstroke. The first year collected a time of 49.43, finishing 25th place in the prelims. Florio competed in the 200 IM, as well. The rookie registered a time of 1:49.73, good for 23rd place. In the 200 Backstroke, Florio finished tantalizingly close to a shot at All-American honors. The North Royalton native finished 17th in the prelims, just 0.06 away from the 16th place finisher.

Cook also took part in the 100 Free. The sophomore's time of 45.29 stood 33rd in the field.
