Men's Track & Field Competed At Ashland University This Afternoon For Their Alumni Invite

ASHLAND, Ohio – A small group of the Blue Streaks Track & Field team competed in their last regular season meet of the year.

The athletes made the trip to Ashland University for their alumni invite at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex this afternoon.

Some of the most notable performances are posted below:

Charlie Payne (1500 Meter Run): 3:59.69
Josh Ackerman (800 Meter Run): 1:58.16
Dustin Horner (200 Meter Dash): 22.40
Lars Broberg (200 Meter Dash): 22.60

Sophomore Charlie Payne led the way for the Blue Streaks in the men's 1500 meter run, placing third overall with a new personal best of 3:59.69.

Josh Ackerman returned to the track with a 1:58.16 finish in the 800 meter run.

The duo of Dustin Horner (22.40) and Lars Broberg (22.60) represented the sprints and placed themselves in the top 10.

We are now just one week away from postseason competition as the team will now look forward to competing for championships.
