What a great way to start the day for the Blue Streaks as sophomore Sam Su ran his way to a National Runner-Up performance in the men's 1500 meter run.

His time of 3:45.44 is a new outdoor school record, earning him his second All-American accolade of his career at JCU. From start to finish, Su put himself in prime position throughout the race and put a huge exclamation point on his second-year campaign.

Next up was the men's 400 meter dash with Tyler Gast and Basheer Alramahi after successfully making it from the prelim the previous day.

Gast placed fifth overall with a time of 46.86, a new personal best for the senior out of Olmsted Falls. Alramahi earned a seventh place finish with a time of 47.09, earning his third All-American accolade in the event for his career.

That wasn't all for both Tyler and Basheer as they returned for the men's 4x400 meter relay, along with Jack Arnold and Tony Tirado.

The quartet earned All-American honors with a time of 3:10.63, placing sixth overall in the final.

For the men, this is their fourth consecutive All-American finish since 2023. An incredible feat for the 4x400 throughout the last few years.

After posting a top 10 finish from the indoor season, the Blue Streaks showcased their resilience and depth and earned tremendous achievements.

This 2026 outdoor season will be remembered as one of the greatest campaigns in program history after winning their first conference championship since 2002, continuing to be well-represented in All-Region selections, and consistently being a top program in Division III for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

There will be lots to look forward to for Coach Daniel Tutskey, Director of Cross Country/Track & Field at John Carroll University and his staff going into 2027.

With a total of 10 seniors graduating from the program, there will be opportunities open for many athletes to step up and continue their success moving forward.
