UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS - The Blue Streaks enter the Bushnell/ Golfweek Division III Coaches' Poll for the first time in the 2026-27 season. 

John Carroll has had a strong start to their fall season which helped them notch the 21st spot, tied with Willamette University, in the Coaches' Poll. 

In their first match of the season, the Ted Barclay Invitational, John Carroll shattered program record for a single score, while also finishing on top with the win. Wade Boyle snatched medalist honors in the match and won NCAC Athlete of the Week for Carroll.

As they headed into their next outing, the Toftress Invitational, the victories did not stop coming. John Carroll broke an astounding four records on the weekend: 18-hole team score to par, the 36-hole team score, 18-hole lowest individual score, and 36-hole lowest individual score. This was without a doubt the best scoring weekend in JCU Men's Golf history. Justy VonLehmden and Kamden Mowry both broke the previous 36-hole records for the Streaks. 

Shortly after breaking the 36-hole team score record, John Carroll once again broke their own record that they just set 7 days before. The Blue Streaks not only reigned victorious at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational at The Country Club of Meadville, but set the tournament record and defeated host Allegheny College by 23 strokes. Justy VonLehmdan once again had a strong weekend, as well as Daniel Donahue. 

Setting records and coming in first place in the first three weekends of the 2026-27 season has allowed the Streaks to earn a spot in the Bushnell/ Golfweek DIII Coaches' Poll.
