Julia Gulla Reigns as NCAC Athlete of the Week for Women's Golf

Gulla is on a roll again so far this fall

CLEVELAND – Rounding out September invitationals, it has been a strong showing from John Carroll Women Golf.

Julia Gulla has tallied her fourth North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award. After earning three accolades in the 2025 season, she has now earned her first in the 2026 campaign.

Gulla has always been a strong golfer for the Blue Streaks, as she tied her own program record for single round score (72) at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny College. Within the first round, she tabbed back-to-back birdies on No. 14-15 and avoided any bogeys on the back nine.

Following an exceptional even Sunday round, Gulla tabbed a solid 77 (+5) on Monday. With that, Gulla placed second for a remarkable weekend.

Gulla will be looking to continue her momentum this weekend at the JCU Fall invitational October 3 and 4. JCU will be at Manakiki Golf Course, while honoring Morgan's Message.
