John Carroll University Athletics

Entering his senior season as a Blue Streak, Michael will continue to fulfill his role as defender and midfielder. Michael's return to the field is much anticipated due to his great defensive quailities and his postseason experience including all five postseason matches and two NCAA contests.

2010
Scored his first goal of the season against Marietta contributing to the Blue Streaks 5-1 win (10/5)..appeared in 20 games and placed 10th in goals for JCU's category leaders

2009
Michael played in 20 games for Carroll… Booted one goal on the year to go along with one assist which came the same day he scored his one goal on the year… His goal and one assist came against Muskingum (10/31/09)… 

2008
With more experience under his belt, Michael appeared in 15 games...Primarily as a defender and midfield... Providing the team with defensive intensity and quickness.

2007
In his Sophmore season Michael  earned more playing time, where he logged time in 13 matches... Earning a varsity letter....As a rising John Carroll star looks  forward  to Michael's return to the field.

High School
Hails from Bridgeville(PA) Chartiers Valley High School in Pennsylvania, 
where he earned a berth on the WPIAL All Star Team and was a sectional all star as a senior... Elite 11 Honorable Mention... Team was ranked in the WPIAL top five during his final three seasons at Chartiers Valley

Academic and Personal
Was a part of the Renaissance Club... his final three seasons at Chartiers Valley...A Finance major at JCU...Carries a 3.27 cumulative grade point average... Son of Mike and Kim Zumerling.
