John Carroll University Athletics

Decided to come back for his final year of eligibilty after a record setting 2009 campaign ... begins this season already the school's all-time leader in receptions with 163, and needs 783 receiving yards to become the all-time leader in that category as well ... An All-Ohio and All-OAC performer last year, will be John Carroll's most veteran and decorated offensive player heading into the 2010 season. 

2009
Earned first team All-OAC accolades in a year where he was ranked in the top 30 nationally in receptions per contest (6.90) ... Against the Capital Crusaders (10/17/09), caught a school record 17 passes for 228 yards … Finished that day with a career-best total of 251 all purpose yards ... At the end of the 2009 season, had amassed 1,039 all purpose yards … Caught eleven passes against Ohio Northern one week after his record game (10/24/09), adding up to 131 yards…Had a season high of eight receptions for 81 yards agains Marietta for a final game score of 24-18.... Ranked number one in the OAC with the most receptions per game, third with 80.8 receiving yards per game and seventh in all purpose yards with 103.9 per contest.  

2008
Played in nine games during the 2008 season and was awarded second team All-Ohio Athletic Conference accolades for his efforts ... Made his biggest splash of the season against Baldwin-Wallace, catching nine balls for 95 yards ... In games in which he caught at least six passes for 65 yards, the Blue Streaks were 5-1 that year ... Led team in receiving yards (521)  and receiving yards per game (57.9) ... Led team in kickoff return yards (227) and average yards per return (22.7) ... Led team in all purpose yards with 766 and all purpose yards per game with 85.1.

2007
Made the switch to wide receiver as a sophomore after playing quarterback as a freshman ... 2007 season totals included 469 yards receiving yards, four touchdown catches, and 543 yards off kick returns ... Had 188 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the Blue Streaks 35-33 triple overtime victory against Otterbein ... Finished the 2007 season with 1,031 all-purpose yards, tops on the team and seventh best in the OAC ... Ranked 50th nationally and first in the conference in kick return average (23.6 ypr).

High School
Received three varsity letters as a quarterback at Canfield High School, where he was part of a regional championship and state runner-up team  ... 

Academics & Personal
Majoring in Marketing at JCU ... Earned $14,000 for the JCU football program by appearing on the game show Deal Or No Deal in an episode that aired in November of 2008 ... Plans to begin work with an NFL team as an assistant or graduate assistant and earn his MBA after the season ...Has earned a 3.11 grade point average... Son of Jack and Barbara Ross.
