Biography

Comes into the season with a firm grasp on the 133 lb weight class at JCU, but will look to take on the role of a team leader as the 2011-2012 campaign progresses.

2010-2011
Placed sixth at 133 lbs at the National Catholic Wrestling Invitational.

2009-2010
Posted four wins, one of which came at Cleveland State early in the season, before a season-ending injury forced him to the sidelines.

2008-2009
As the top reserve at both 125 lbs and 133 lbs in 2008-09, compiled three wins in limited duty ... Was 3-4 in dual meets for the Blue Streaks

High School
Finished his Parma (OH) Holy Name High School career with a strong senior year, finishing 40-5 ... Was a state qualifier in the 2007 season and a state runner-up in 2006.

Academic & Personal
Transferred to JCU from Cuyahoga Community College ... In his third of four years of eligibility ... A Marketing and  Business Logistics major at JCU ... Will pursue an M.B.A. at John Carroll after completing his undergraduate degree ... Son of Jennifer Nycz.
