Throughout the last 100 years, we've seen John Carroll University student-athletes hoist OAC championship trophies, earn All-America honors and transform into young men and women who lead and serve, not only on their teams, but in all aspects of their lives. Our teams are able to succeed in part because of the loyal support the JCU community has provided over the last century. One of the greatest supporters of the Blue Streaks continue to be the Blue Gold Club, which provides resources to enhance the student-athlete experience.
Founded in the Spring of 1982, the John Carroll Blue Gold Club serves our student-athletes, both past and present, through commitment to its mission: to support, promote, and recognize varsity athletics.
The Blue Gold Club serves to raise essential revenue to supplement specific needs that enhance the student-athlete experience at John Carroll, with the goal to provide the resources necessary to allow JCU athletes to compete at championship levels. Some recent projects include:
🎥 Live Streaming Services – Keeping families, friends, and alumni connected to JCU Athletics from anywhere in the world.
🎓 Senior Medallions – Honoring the dedication and journey of our graduating student-athletes as they walk across the stage.
🎉 Student-Athlete Formal – Now an annual spring tradition that unites, celebrates, and recognizes our Blue Streaks.
🏅 Special Projects in the Athletic Department – Providing flexible funding for impactful new initiatives and improvements.
The signature event for the Blue Gold Club is the annual JCU Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner.
Previous special projects the Blue Gold Club has assisted with include:
- Portable bleachers for indoor and outdoor use
- New outfield banners for JCU Baseball & Softball
- Dr. Dish shooting machine for JCU Basketball
