Hiram College won a pair of 1-0 games over Malone on Friday and Shenandoah on Saturday to capture the team title in the 2007 John Carroll Soccer Classic held September 7-8 at Don Shula Stadium in University Heights, Ohio.
Host John Carroll was in position to win the tournament title if it had finished 2-0, but a goal in the 109th minute by Malone's Ben Jeremy in the fourth and final match of the weekend changed that potential outcome and dropped the Blue Streaks to third place.
Following Hiram (2-0) in the standings were Malone (1-1), John Carroll (1-1) and Shenandoah (0-2).
The All-Tournament Team, which features three goalkeepers, is as follows: Nate Rausch (HIR), Kesley Resnick (HIR), David Krems (HIR), Cole Miller (HIR), Ben Jeremy (MAL), George Tagaris (MAL), Mike Porter (MAL), Alex Bernot (JCU), Mike Pinter (JCU), Ben Carro (JCU), David Winskill (SHEN), Aaron McGuiness (SHEN)
