JAMES LAMAR – Head Coach
James is originally from Rochester, NY. Throughout high school, he rowed for a local rowing program by the name of Pittsford Crew. He competed in many state regattas as well as attending Youth Nationals during his junior year. He served as the Varsity Men's Team Co-captain during his senior year of high school as well.
James joined the John Carroll Rowing Team during the winter of his freshman year of college. Throughout his time on the team, he served as the Club President and a captain of the Men's team for two consecutive years. James enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the sport of rowing with his teammates and board members.
James is currently in his senior year of his undergraduate education at John Carroll University, majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He plans to graduate with a bachelors degree in May of 2017.
James looks forward to working as a coach for the JCU Rowing Program in the upcoming seasons. He is thrilled to be given this opportunity, and is excited to work with the athletes on the team.
