Assistant Crew Coach

LAUREN SYNEK – Assistant Coach
 
Coach Lauren Synek is originally from the Cleveland area. Throughout high school, Synek played volleyball and basketball. When coming to John Carroll, she tried multiple other club sports before stumbling upon the Crew Team in the spring of her freshman year in 2014. The sport was new and challenging and that is what Synek loved about it. Synek became a member of the Executive Board after her first semester on the team and was looked upon as a leader in all subsequent seasons. Seven seasons of rowing later and Synek is now graduated and excited to continue her experiences with the sport and the team as a coach.
 
Synek just recently graduated from John Carroll with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She is currently enrolled in JCU’s Masters of Science in Accountancy program and is looking forward to her time coaching and taking classes this fall.
 
Synek hopes to learn from the other coaches in her first coaching season and to help the students grow as a team and individually as rowers.
