John Carroll University Athletics

John Carroll University is pleased to serve as host for the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golf Championships at Avalon Lakes (Men's) and Squaw Creek (Women's). The 54-hole event takes place Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3.

Format: The championship shall consist of 54 holes spread over three days. 18 holes shall be played on the first day, 18 holes shall be played on the second day and 18 holes shall be played on the third day.
Admission: There is no admission fee for spectators.
Spectator Cart Rental: $32/day

About the Courses: "Avalon Lakes is one of the premier golf courses in the world designed by legendary golf course architect, Pete Dye. The Lakes offers 5 sets of tees that range from 4904 yards to 7551 yards. Offering a variety for all skill levels, this par 72 golf course features undulating greens, beautiful terrain, and plenty of “lakes”. Our signature hole is number 8, a majestic peninsula par 3 that plays from 128 yards to 244 yards. The usual pin placement is located only steps from the water’s edge."

"Squaw Creek is one of the oldest championship caliber golf courses in the Midwest. Her mature tree lined fairways provide the golfers with a visually magnificent memory. Squaw Creek offers 5 sets of tees that can range from 4990 yards to 7372 yards. Your walk in the park experience will test golfers of all skill levels. Squaw Creek was designed by Stanley Thompson, a highly talented Canadian golf course architect with more than 150 courses in his portfolio. Our signature hole is number 12, a short par 4 dogleg left that commands utmost precision off the tee and feather-like touch on and around the green."

SPECTATOR RULES & EXPECTATIONS

• Spectators need to turn their cart in at the end of each round. Do NOT leave your cart parked at the scoring or awards areas.
• If riding in carts, please keep on the cart path and be careful in bottleneck areas to park in such a way that will allow other carts, such as coaches or rules officials, to get by.
• Before starting up a cart, always look around and check that you will not disturb players, including those in OTHER GROUPS.
• If walking, stick to the cart path side of the hole along the rough line. Do not walk down the fairways under any circumstances.
• Communication between players and fans should be minimal so as to preclude the possible impression by fellow competitors that "advice" is being given. You are here to spectate, not participate.
• Always be mindful that the group behind yours has room to hit. Do not lag behind your group.
• Please care for the golf course, properly disposing of all trash and utilizing restroom facilities.
• Generally allow the players to play. Please do not be a distraction to them or any other players in the field.
