Keaton Mark enters his third season as assistant coach with John Carroll Baseball in the 2025-26 academic year.

Mark joined the JCU Baseball staff following several years of coaching elsewhere along with a prolific playing career at Heidelberg.

In his second season, Mark helped the Blue Streaks return to the OAC Tournament. In his first campaign, Mark helped the Blue Streaks end the year on a high note by winning four of the last seven games. 

The West Oneonta, New York native played five seasons for the Student Princes from 2017-22. Keaton started 112 career games as an everyday outfielder for Heidelberg. As a senior in 2022, Mark topped the Student Princes with 12 home runs and 19 stolen bases. The right fielder hit .321 and added 12 doubles and 31 RBI to garner OAC Honorable Mention status. Mark tallied First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in 2021, starting all 41 games. He batted .396 with 63 hits, 15 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 42 RBI, also picking up ABCA Second Team All-Mideast Reigon honors. 

Mark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Health and Human Performance in 2021 before earning his Master’s in Business Administration in 2022. He earned Academic All-OAC honors along the way. 

Most recently, Mark served as the Head Assistant Baseball Coach and Strength Coach at SUNY Cobleskill from 2022-23. The Fighting Tigers claimed the 2023 North Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship. With Mark serving as hitting coach, the Fighting Tigers finished with a .327 batting average in addition to a 22-15 overall mark. At SUNY Cobleskill, Mark also worked as an admissions representative and in the print shop. 

Since 2022, Mark has worked in the summers as Head Baseball Coach and General Manager of the Oneonta Outlaws. In this position, Mark has worked as the full-time head coach of a 40-man roster he recruits. Mark handles all general manager duties at the ballpark, reporting directly to the owner of the organization.
