Michael Burke enters his third year with the Blue Streaks leading into the 2021-2022 school year. He will be recruiting as well as working with the team’s infielders and hitters.

Burke is a 2014 graduate of SUNY Buffalo, with a degree in Health and Human Services. Prior to Buffalo, Michael graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, OH.

Following his four years at UB, Burke was drafted in the 2014 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. From 2014-2018, Michael played in the Orioles farm system where he pitched 242 innings, and compiled 230 strikeouts, 9 wins and 12 saves. He also finished his career with a 4.10 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.

Before Burke was drafted, he competed four years as a two-way player at SUNY Buffalo.  He played both shortstop/ third base, and started on the mound. While at Buffalo, Michael earned 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region accolades. He also hit .324 his senior season and compiled 171 hits, 8 home runs, and 30 doubles throughout his career. Burke completed his time at Buffalo as the all time career wins leader with 20 wins.

During the summers of his collegiate years, Michael played for the Valley Blue Socks and the Lorain County Ironmen. Throughout his time with the Valley Blue Sox, a team in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, Burke was awarded "Pitcher of the Year.” While playing in the NECBL, he also finished with a 0.55 ERA across 65 innings pitched. During Michael’s time with the Lorain County Ironmen, he was chosen as a Prospect League All-Star.

In his high school career, Burke secured the record for the highest batting average in a single season with .573 at Saint Ignatius HS while receiving 1st team All-Conference.

In 2019, Burke was the head coach at Lake Ridge Academy where he led the team to a third consecutive Lake Effect Conference title

Michael is currently coaching at T3 Performance. Before joining T3, Michael was with Force Sports from 2017 - 2020. He has been giving pitching/fielding/hitting lessons since 2017 and has coached high school travel baseball since 2019.

Michael and his wife Caitlyn currently reside in Northeast Ohio.
