John Carroll University Athletics

A product of West Boylston High School in Massachusetts, Phelps will look to solidify the Blue Streaks' outfield in 2012 with extra playing time following his rookie season.     

2011
Appeared in 26 games, starting 11 during his rookie campaign ...  Had his first hit and RBI on March 12 against Mount St. Joseph, and had two mult-hit games ... Known as the 10th man for the Blue Streaks as he led the team in games appearing as a substitute.     

High School
As a senior captain, led central Massachusetts in batting with a .620 batting average to go along with six home runs ... Named to the Mass. Baseball Coaches Association all-star team ... Also a Mid-Wachusett League all-star, as well as a Worcester Telegram & Gazette Super Team member his junior and senior years ... While at West Boylston High School, was part of a team his junior year that posted a perfect record of 20-0, won the Mid-Wachusett League and Central Mass ... District DIII championship, and went on to play in the Mass. DIII state championship final game ... Played for head coach Todd Smith at West Boylston ... Was a three-sport varsity captain (football, baseball, and basketball) ... Graduated in the Top-30 of his class.
