Nick Alexander


Nick Alexander enters his third season for John Carroll University as the Pass Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach. 

In his second season in 2018, the Blue Streaks were ranked No. 4 in the OAC for total offense with 425 yards per game. Alexander also helped junior QB Anthony Moeglin to 14 touchdowns. 

During his first season in 2017, the Blue Streaks were ranked No. 3 in passing completion percentage with 61.5%. Alexander also was the driving force behind sophomore QB Anthony Moeglin's 17 touchdowns. 

Prior to John Carroll, Alexander spent three years at Mentor High School where he taught business and coached football. 

During the 2015 and 2016 seasons he was the Co-Offensive Coordinator and was responsible for the pass game. In the 2015 season vs. St Ignatius, Alexander led a passing attack that set school records for passing yards in a game (523) and receiving yards in a game (342). In 2014 he coached the wide receivers.

Prior to coaching at Mentor, Coach Alexander was hired by Coach Finotti to coach Quarterback's at St. Edward High School.

During his two seasons there, the Eagles were 22-3. Alexander worked with quarterback's who set school records for: passes completed in a game (30), passing yards in a game (370 yards), completion percentage for a season (62.82%) and touchdown passes for a season (20). 

Alexander earned his bachelor's degree in business from Capital University. He played quarterback at Capital, was a three-year letterman and a captain his senior year. 

He attended Mayfield High School, where he was a captain and earned first team all-conference honors in football (Quarterback) and baseball (Pitcher).
