home of the Blue Streaks

Tim King

A 2004 graduate of John Carroll, King is beginning his fifth year as member of the Blue Streak coaching staff. After coaching the safeties in 2011 and 2012, King will turn his attention to the outside linebackers for the second straight year.

His outside linebackers had a solid year in 2013 with Andy Bryan leading the way with 25 tackles including three for loss.

As a player, he was a three-year letterwinner, two-year starter and team captain for the Blue Streaks, and was twice named All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

Since departing JCU, King has worked at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio as a teacher, coach and administrator. He spent two years as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, and was a member of the staff in the school’s first two state playoff appearances in 2006 and 2008. He has also served as an assistant baseball coach at the high school.

King earned his Master‘s Degree in Educational Administration from Kent State University in May 2010, and is currently the Dean of Students at Roosevelt High School.
