Started in nine games on the offensive line during the 2008 season ... Earned Academic All-OAC recognition as well as a spot on the ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Football First Team in 2008 ... One of 106 nationwide finalists for the 2009 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team for his efforts on the field and in the community ... Was primarily a junior varsity player for the Blue Streaks during the 2007 season ... In high school, was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year and was an All Star for the City Catholic League ... Also was involved in National Honors Society, Campus Ministry, Art Club, Lacrosse, and Indoor Track ... He carries a 3.9 GPA and majors in Exercise Science ... Younger brother Michael is also on the JCU football roster ... Is the son of Margaret and John Micca.
