Jack Hughes enters his second season on the staff for JCU Football in the 2024-25 academic year. After serving in student operations last season, he will serve as a defensive quality control coach.
Hughes is a current senior at John Carroll as a Marketing & Supply Chain major. Hughes attended Lake Norman High School and Fork Union Military Academy, as his family has lived in six different states since he was born. Hughes was born in Memphis, TN and raised in Tolland, CT. His father, Hank, is currently the defensive line coach at Penn. He's also coached at the collegiate level at UConn, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Harvard, James Madison University, Lafayette, Davidson, Northeastern, Springfield, and Albany.Â
He chose John Carroll because "of the rich tradition and the opportunity to get a great education in academics and football."
