Spencer Roule

Spencer Roule '14, '17G enters his 16th season with the John Carroll Men's Basketball team in 2025-26. He has served as an assistant coach under head coach Pete Moran since the 2017-18 season.

Roule previously being a graduate assistant for three years. Before then, Roule worked as a student assistant, first joining the John Carroll Men's Basketball program as a student assistant coach in 2010. 

He has also been an assistant coach for the University School football program, focusing on outside linebackers and safeties. During the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Roule helped guide the Preppers to back-to-back playoff appearances.

Roule served as the head junior varsity football coach at Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, the Lions won their first playoff game in school history. He formerly was a varsity assistant football coach at Cleveland Benedictine High School. In 2011, Roule helped the Bengals reach the state playoffs for the first time since 2005.

Roule, who graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor's in Finance and minor in Economics, came to John Carroll as a student-athlete but was sidelined by an injury before joining the men's basketball coaching staff. A 2010 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School in Elyria, Ohio, he was a varsity starter in basketball and football, earning Lorain County All-Star honors as a senior. 

Roule is the son of Heather Roule and the late Bryan Duhe, and has a younger brother, Branson.

In May 2017, Roule earned his Master of Business Administration. He currently works as a Senior Associate, Wealth Management at Cerity Partners.
