As a guard at Beachwood High School, pieced together an impressive resume ... During his senior year, he was voted team MVP, First-Team All-Cuyahoga Valley Conference, MVP of the Cuyahoga Valley Conference, and All-Ohio Honorable Mention. Townes was also noimnated Second-Team All-District, the Sun-East Most Outstanding Player and an All-Star by the Greater Cleveland Coaches Association ... As a junior, he was named team MVP and First-Team All-Cuyahoga Valley Conference.
