2022 Cross Country
- During his second cross-country OAC Championships, Scherer raced a 8k time of 31:49.6 to best 34 conference competitors (10/29/2022)
- Placed 119th out of 259 total runners in the open division of the 2022 Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble in a time of 28:56.1 (10/15/2022)
- Earned a shiny new PR time of 28:31.8 during the open division at the Paul Short Invitational, finishing ahead of 117 total runners (09/30/2022). Scherer's new 8k mark improved on his previous time by an astonishing 63.3 seconds.
- Raced to a time of 31:18.0 during the MSU Spartan Invitational, besting 17 runners in the field (09/16/2022)
- Embarked on his sophomore campaign with a 26th place finish at the Bill Sudeck Classic, finishing in a 6k time of 22:55.8 (09/02/2022). Scherer improved on his time during this meet in 2021 by an impressive 30.1 seconds.
2021 Cross Country
- Made his season debut at the Sudeck Classic finishing 33rd with a time of 23:25.9. (09/02)
- Finished 202nd at the All-Ohio Collegiate Championships with a time of 33:46.0. (09/17)
- Finished 346th with a time of 30:25.3 in the open division of the Paul Short Invitational. (10/01)
- Placed 120th amongst 209 runners in the open division of the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble with a time of 30:39.4. (10/16)
- Rounded out his freshman season with an 120th place finish at the OAC Championships in a time of 29:35.1. (10/30)
High School
- Won Sectionals 4 times
- Member of Indoor Track 4x800 team that qualified for state championship and nationals
- Played baseball for 2 years (Varsity sophomore year) as an outfielder and second baseman

- Son of Jake and Tina Scherer
- Chose JCU because "I like the campus and area, not to far from home but not to close, and it is a good school"
