Earned three varsity letters in track and two in football at Sparta (MI) High School ... Was part of a regional champion and state qualifying 4x100 meter relay team ... Was captain of the football team during senior year ... Regarded as the fastest player on high school team ... Played for head coach Steve Zurek ... Ran for two state-qualifying track teams ... Held a 3.51 cumulative GPA at Sparta ... Member of the Honor Roll all four years.

Plans to major in Marketing at JCU ... Has coached youth flag football and organized flag football camps ... Son of Kevin and Kristi DeKraker.
