Jackie Mangola enters her first season as an assistant coach for the John Carroll softball program.
A 2012 graduate of Ohio Northern University, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. She is licensed to teach Health and Physical Education at the K-12 level.
As a player for the Polar Bears, Mangola was a four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and a two-time first team All-American infielder. In her four years, Ohio Northern went 138-41 overall and 61-10 in the OAC, while she rewrote many school records. Mangola holds the ONU career record for home runs (45) and total bases (417), and the single-season records for home runs (21), total bases (138), slugging percentage (1.140) and walks (37).
A native of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Mangola was a 2012 recipient of the Clyde A. Lamb award, given annually to the top male and female athlete at each OAC institution.
