Madison Zimmerman enters her first season as a student assistant coach with the women's soccer program in 2022.
In 2021, Zimmerman appeared in 18 games for the Blue Streaks, starting four and playing a total of 18 games. She tallied the game-winning goal in overtime against Allegheny on September 11.
Prior to John Carroll, Zimmerman played three seasons at Heidelberg (2017-2019). A two-time Academic All-OAC student-athlete, Zimmerman appeared in 39 career games with 24 starts. She totaled five goals and two assists in her career.
The Tiffin native attended Columbian High School, graduating second in her class and was a valedictorian. Zimmerman received three letters in soccer, track and basketball. She earned first team all-conference honors as a senior and second team honors as a junior in soccer.
Zimmerman chose JCU because "of the opportunity to finish playing my last year of soccer with an incredible team and pursue my dream of becoming a licensed mental health counselor."
