Clay Murray enters hir first season as an assistant coach for JCU Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving in the 2021-22 academic year.
Murray previously coached at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA from 2019-21. The Keystone State native served as recruiting coordinator with the Titans, helping to bring in 39 committed student-athletes in two seasons. Murray developed a new sprint program, also designing and monitoring lifting programs for athletes of different strokes and specialties. Murray managed the Titans' social media and participated in the CSCAA mentoring program.
Murray swam four years for the Titans, earning seven First Team All-PAC honors as a senior, along with Second Team All-PAC honors as a junior. He graduated in 2019 with his bachelor's in Child & Family Studies.
Beyond his work at Westminster, Murray has also been an assistant swim coach with the Franklin Area Swim Team in Murrysville, PA; offered private swim lessons and coaching; and served as a lifeguard.
