John Carroll University Athletics

Chad Rhoades enters his third season with the JCU wrestling program.  He served the previous two seasons as the team's graduate assistant and was responsible for day-to-day operations including running in-season training sessions.  He spent the previous five years teaching and coaching at Lake Local Schools in Uniontown, Ohio.

As a coach at Lake, Rhoades coached multiple state placers and worked with a top ten team in the state of Ohio.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Mount Union with a major in secondary education and history.  As a wrestler for Coach Hawald, Chad was a member of two OAC Championship and two runner-up teams.

A native of Uniontown, Ohio, Rhoades completed his Masters in Business Administration at John Carroll in 2020 and currently resides in Cleveland.
