Kevin Shadrach enters his 11th season as a Blue Streak wrestling assistant coach in 2025-26.

As an athlete or assistant coach, Shadrach has been with Head Coach Mark Hawald for all but Hawald’s first season as a head coach (at Mount Union). Prior to coaching the Blue Streaks, Shadrach spent four seasons (2009-2012) as a member of the Mount Union wrestling team and three seasons (2012-2015) as an assistant coach at Case Western Reserve.

Shadrach works mainly with middleweight wrestlers and helped mentor Dan Mirman to a third place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships at 149 lbs.

As a competitor for the Purple Raiders, Shadrach competed at 149 lbs. He graduated in 2012 with 81 career wins and 36 wins in his senior which were respectively the 11th and 4th highest numbers in those categories at the time. Shadrach was a two-time OAC Tournament finalist, winning the title and qualifying for the NCAA tournament in 2012. In addition, Shadrach was named Academic All-OAC and a Two-Time NWCA Scholar All-American.

Shadrach and his wife, Candace, live in Seven Hills with sons Gunner (born August 2017) and Landon (born March 2019).
