After scoring at least one goal in seven of its first eight matches, the John Carroll women's soccer team has run its current goal drought to three matches in a row following a scoreless tie at Baldwin-Wallace Wednesday evening in Berea.
Baldwin-Wallace outshot JCU 12-11, but John Carroll took the only three recorded shots in overtime. The Blue Streaks also held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Michelle Zrebiec played all 110 minutes in goal and made five saves.
Offense had not been a problem through eight games, as John Carroll had 13 goals over that span of time. Since a Natty Naso goal in the 78th minute of a 5-1 win over Hiram on September 22, the Blue Streaks have not found the back of the net.
Conversely, the JCU defense has only allowed one goal in regulation over its last five matches, and three overall (two of the goals resulted in overtime losses).
The tie moves John Carroll's record to 4-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the OAC.
