Box Score

John Carroll was hoping that this would be the year it broke its longest active losing streak to an Ohio Athletic Conference rival.

Alas, it was not to be, as Muskingum outlasted the Blue Streaks in a match that went the full five games in New Concord Saturday afternoon, 25-19, 21-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-9.

Freshman Kristen Kidd was impressive in defeat, registering a team-high 16 kills to go along with a season-best 36 digs. The 36 digs representes the most by a JCU player in 2008.

Meredith McDiarmid had 14 kills and Laura Isbell added ten kills for the Blue Streaks' offense. McDiarmid had 31 also added assists

Emily Jackson had 29 digs and Kate Schafer tallied 18.

Muskingum improves to 17-4 overall and 1-2 in the OAC, while John Carroll drops to 14-8 overall and 1-2 in league action.

The victory was Muskingum's 15th in a row over John Carroll dating back to 1996. It was, however, the first time that the Blue Streaks won at least two games against the Muskies since October 14, 1995 -- the last JCU victory in the series.
