The Blue Streaks hit the road again this past weekend traveling to Niagara University for a Friday Night match-up. After taking an early lead, JCU couldn't hold off a late rally by the Purple Eagles and fell 5-4. "They're all tough (the losses), but this one hurts more, having the lead late and playing so well for most of the game," said Head Coach
Chris Wilk. "The team made some great adjustments after last weekend and played hard." It just wasn't enough as Niagara mounted a four goal 3rd period including 2 in the last two minutes to hand the Streak their 9th loss of the season.
John Carroll was lead by Junior
Nick Morici who netted the hat-trick in the loss, and Sophomore
John Walter with a goal and an assist. Morici was disappointed in the loss."We played hard all night. Unfortunately we didn't close it out when we had a chance in the second period. A few questionable calls down the stretch went against us. We need to do a better job as a team when we have our opportunities."
JCU heads to ECC for a match-up on Saturday at the Cheektawaga Rec Center and returns home November 13th vs league rival Pitt.
