The third-seeded John Carroll women's soccer team had its season come to an end on Wednesday at Ohio Northern, falling by a 1-0 score to the second-seeded Polar Bears in the semifinal round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament.

Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard in the first half . However, the host Polar Bears changed all that 76 seconds into the second half when senior midfielder Kaitlin Sanders dribbled through traffic and beat keeper Molly Gradowski.

Grawdowski had seven saves in the losing effort as Ohio Northern outshot John Carroll 23-4.

The Blue Streaks who were held off the scoreboard for just the third time in the last ten matches would see their season come to an end. John Carroll finishes with a record of 9-10-2 overall. Ohio Northern advances to the conference title game to play the top seed Otterbein Cardinals at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
